The first event of the Season was at the Canadian Sports Compact Series (CSCS) Season Opener at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park DDT Track.
The E46 M3 driven by Scott was representing us in the first event in Super Street RWD (SSR) class at the CSCS Season Opener. The GTR will only be participating at the Grandbend Raceway event later this year at CSCS Round 4.
The CSCS Season Opener did not go as planned, but nothing exciting ever does. The CSCS Season Opener had it all, familiar faces, fast cars, frustrations, victories and... even Snow!
With the recent introduction of boost comes new challenges, keeping the car reliable being the largest. With boost leaks, coil pack failure and fueling issues rising up one by one it was a very busy and challenging day. A qualifying session in the snow also added to the excitement.

By the end of it all a Second Place finish was achieved in SSR with the car in limp mode. The goal was to smash the SSR record set by Scott last year, but it remains untouched until Scott and the competition return next year to get another shot at it.
The Official Time was 1:37.947 with the car in limp mode, more than 3 seconds slower than our record time.
The lessons learned are already being applied for a stronger showing at CSCS Round 2.
Congratulation to Scott and the other class winners and look out for the E46 M3 at CSCS Round 2!
